Lachlan is the founding principal lawyer of the firm in 2005.
Before commencing with Willocks Lawyers, Lachlan commenced his professional career with a prominent Melbourne law firm and for several years worked as a Senior Associate with a leading national law firm in the areas of insurance litigation, professional indemnity and commercial litigation.
Lachlan is an experienced litigator with more than 20 years’ experience. During that time, he negotiated complex claims, conducted major litigation on behalf of large companies, insurers, company directors and private individuals in all jurisdictions including the Supreme Court, County Court, Federal Court and VCAT.
Lachlan represents clients in cases involving breach of contract and insurance claims, property damage claims and building disputes. In the last 12 years, he has diversified his practice into Family Law and Criminal Law and regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Magistrates’ Court in Victoria.
Lachlan is bilingual and is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Deakin University and a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne.
